Urgent, five alarm alert for Progressive Baptist media on Money and Stop the Steal

Baptist mainstream, the center, the CBF will have regional meetings late August in Charlotte Atlanta, Louisville and outwest. as of August 13 these meetings have changed to virtual workshops only.  I hope leadership doesnt come in ignorant as they have before  but come informed to the max for theses dark days when the venality of the GOP has run amok. One thing is imperative anybody taken seriously in these conversations, particularly the workshops of Thursday Aug 26 must have a working conversational knowledge of Jane Mayer August 9 piece in the New Yorker about the Money driving the false narrative of a Stolen election. Culprits are named and networked including the NRA, the Heritage Foundation, Sovereign Nation, the Birch Society, and Pressler and Patterson's Council for National Policy.

It was Sovereign Nation who had the promotional interview with Mike Stone of Waycross Ga, the SBC candidate for presidency in Nashville, marinated in rabid Critical Race Theory distortions.

This is the kind of stuff Trey Gowdy ought to be doubling down on with his Training Union hour on Fox News produced in Spartanburg SC. But he has no scruples and you cant expect much from a Big Mess whose church life co sponsored the Truth for a New Generation conferences spot lighting Eric MeTaxas and David Barton.

My friend Johnny Pierce of Nurturing Faith and Good faith Media, Bill Leonard and his friends at Baptist News Global, Pat Anderson the 1965 Furman grad and track star who edits Christian Ethics Today; all hands on deck with online promotion BEFORE the gatherings in a couple weeks.

Sunday August 8 The Greenville News published a letter by a leader of the Carolina 29 movement; roughly the rawest of the Tea Party in the Upstate setting the agenda for 2022 or be primaried. He boasted the far right now controls Upstate GOP and he named the Gun Lobby, the Birch Society and Sovereign nation as setting the agenda or be shame slutted to RINO land.

Marty Cohen published a book on a Moral Congress two years ago. Thirty pages are devoted to Trey Gowdy's SC fourth and how it got that way. A Christ Church Episcopal product William Timmons, now masquerading as a Bob Jones and NGU loyalist is the current congressman.

Way passed time for folks like Baxter Wynn of FBC Greenville, his Brother Barry former chair of the SC GOP, their social and political friend David Wilkinson, 43 ambassador to Canada, speaker of the SC House, chair of Clemson trustees whose wife the former Susan Clary is a native of my hometown of Gaffney, and their friends at Buncombe St UMC of Will Willimon and folks at Westminster Prez PCUSA to have an opportunity to read Mayer and express themselves on matters from open carry, CRT, Sovereign Nation and just how long downtown destination city and the Reedy River Suspension bridge can coexist with Know Nothings on the Rise.

And the latest news is all the republicans on the state board of education for Alabama have passed a resolution condemning the bogeyman Critical Race Theory. The Know Nothings ought to be held up for ridicule from every real Baptist in the state.
